Axemen players and new recruits will attend a pre season meeting to go over the plan for the 2008 assault on the AMNRL season. The meeting will take place at the Comfort Inn Ocean Front at Jacksonville Beach at 7pm. Team management will outline the plans for the upcoming season and current players and hopeful recruits will get to meet for the first time.

9 days later the Axemen will hold an open scrimmage at the Jacksonville Jaguars practice field at the Municipal Stadium facility. The Scrimmage will be open to all public and media and will be free of charge. A optional $1 donation for charity is being considered as well.

The scrimmage will start at approx 6pm and will see new and veteran players show what they have to offer to the team in 2008. The scrimmage will see some short skill drills before getting into some "pretty serious contact" according to team sources. It should go through until approx 8pm as the team leaves for South Florida early Saturday Morning for their second scrimmage in Bradenton on Saturday afternoon.

Food and beverages will be on sale via Levy Concessions and the Axemen hope to have some basic merchandise and possible season tickets on sale during the evening.
