Playing Experience = Started Rugby League at age 8 and has played for various clubs in Australia, England, France, Canada and the USA. Spinner has well over a dozen appearances for the USA Tomahawks and is definitely the veteran on the team. Spinner was the head coach for the Axemen for their first 3 years. He also played for them at Hooker and Scrum half mostly during the season. Very vocal while on the field arranging plays and defense. He can be very effective around the ruck area in offense while at hooker and is very dependable in defense. He also played for the Jacksonville Rugby Union team and earned a reputation with the amount of aggression he brings onto the field and his “dominant” tackling. From a coaching stance he believes that the game is very much a contact sport and physical dominance both in offense and defense will be a big part of the Axemen culture.
He has coached the USA Students in the 1999 Student Rugby League World Cup. Various USA Representative Rugby League sides. He has also coached the Charles River Rugby Union team in Boston and was the Coach for the University of North Florida Rugby Union team in their first year.
Preferred Playing Position = Hooker or Scrum half.
