Axemen form partnership with Jacksonville Band

Anyone wearing any item of Axemen gear such as a shirt, hat, Jersey, etc, will be given discounted entry of $10 at the door to Tuesday nights (Feb 8 ) CD Release Party at Freebird Café. Show starts at 8pm.

Down Theory was signed by Spectra Records in 2010 and had their official CD hit the airwaves in Jacksonville on January 8 of this year. The Release Party will officially launch the CD and be the first official performance as Down Theory starts the journey to become the next successful band to come from Jacksonville. This is your opportunity to see the VERY FIRST show the band performs with their first label recognized CD.

The Axemen have also formed an official partnership with the band that will recognize Down Theory as the official band of the team. Down Theory performed during the Rugby League Atlantic Cup during November and the feedback from Axemen fans has been great. The members of Down Theory have also become avid supporters of the Axemen and Rugby League in general and showed their appreciation by recognizing the Axemen in the credits that are listed on the inside cover of their first official CD.

“This show is the chance to say you were there”, said Spinner Howland. “We have all been to those big shows with some globally recognized bands and wondered what it was like as they started out. Well this show is the change to be able to say you saw the first ever show for Down Theory as the started their journey under a record label and for $10 you will be hard pressed to find a reason not to go”
