Axemen Game Report: Round 3

The Firehouse Subs Jacksonville Axemen recovered in Round 3 of the USARL competition with a win over the Boston 13’s. With a final score of 44-12 the Axemen were able to get back to the team they were last season. “It was a much better performance; we got back to playing our way” says Coach and Captain Brent Shorten. “There is still some work to be done, so we will keep at it and look to get stronger with every training session.” Kenny Britt and Mao Laumoli led the offense with two tries each, along with tries scored by Thornton, Longchamp, Beedle, and Dawn. Shorten and Alleger made 6 of the 8 conversions. The Axemen continue to train hard throughout this week and will travel to DC to take on the Slayers on Saturday in Round 4.
