Axemen Give Atlanta the Chop
The light bulbs are starting to flicker on for the Coastal Spine and Pain Center Jacksonville Axemen as they put together two consecutive wins. The team’s undefeated regular home game record since 2008 still stands following a rather impressive win against the previously undefeated Atlanta Rhinos last Saturday.
Coach Wayne Forbes had nothing but praise for his troops, however was concerned with a lack of concentration in the first twenty minutes after halftime. “We need to learn how to close sides out. We went into half-time with a 20 to 6 lead and ended up behind after twenty minutes into the second half” Forbes said. “However, the guys showed a lot of character in the final 20 minutes to take back the lead and swing the momentum back in our favor”.
Following the 4th of July Bye Week the Axemen travel to Tampa on July 11th. The Tampa Mayhem have been lifted by their first win for the season over a quality Central Florida Warriors outfit last week and Forbes is predicting a determined Tampa assault. “Tampa will definitely grow from their win and can’t be underestimated, we need to continue evolving week after week to ensure we stay one play in front.” Forbes replied.
All Axemen supporters are encouraged to make the trip to Tampa and rally the CHOP ZONE behind their boys to ensure the Jax Axe train keeps rolling ahead!
