After an undefeated season and a National Championship last year, the Firehouse Subs Jacksonville Axemen are setting their sights on another prosperous year for 2013. Back to back championships would be a first for the team, and would be a sure sign of the team’s dominance in the USARL. “It’s very difficult to win it all two years in a row” says Drew Slover, co-owner and General Manager of the Axemen. “Back to back National Championships would prove that there is a definitely a structure within the team that develops success.” The Axemen also look forward to some new developments off the field for the fans. New amenities to Chop Zone seating is in the works for the 2013 home games, as well as new membership packages and merchandise for the upcoming season. “We not only are working towards maintaining the best team in the league, we want to provide the best event for our fans. There is a continual effort for us to offer the sport of rugby league to our fans in the most entertaining way possible.”
