Axemen Prepare for Rhinos on the Road

It’s game week again for the 121 Financial Jacksonville Axemen as they prepare to travel to Atlanta this Saturday. The Axemen and Rhinos are both coming off wins in their opening weeks and the pressure is on to secure s spot at the top of the ladder.

The Atlanta Rhinos are the defending 2017 USARL Champions, and are the team to beat this season after a big win against the newly formed South Florida Copperheads. The Axemen are coming off a tough season last year and a loss in the first round of the playoffs to the Tampa Mayhem. Feeling the sting, the Axemen have been busy building over the past year and were able to earn a win over the Mayhem in the first round of 2018 competition.

“It’s a massive game for us this week,” says Axemen Coach Sean Rutgerson. “After a win away we travel again to take on the defending USARL Champions on their home grounds. We’re looking forward to the challenge and putting forth a great performance. The team is excited to see what we can do.”
