Tex Hanke continued his solid pre-season form with a mistake free game that saw his work rate on the field lift to a new level. He easily toped the hit up rate and was among the top tacklers as well. The few moments that the Axemen found wanting for someone to carry the ball forward, he was there every time and selflessly put 100% effort as he ploughed into the defense. A great start to the season for Tex and as the teams fitness continues to improve he should stay in the top work rate players on the squad
