USA Rugby League National Championship adds ALL-STAR Game and Moe’s Southwest Grill to the Event this Saturday.
“Not only will fans get to see the two best teams in the country play for the National Championship,” said event coordinators. “But they will see the best players from across all teams in the USA play for a spot on TEAM USA. Some of these players will go on to play for the USA HAWKS at international level, and we want our fans to get to know them and follow their progress as they help the USA qualify for the 2017 Rugby League World Cup during the Americas Qualifying Stage that will be played this December, right here in Florida.”
This Saturday, August 29, the Atlanta Rhinos and Boston 13s will face off at the University of North Florida in the USA Rugby League National Championship. Two weeks ago each of the teams won their Conference Championship to represent the North and South Conferences in the “Big Dance” to crown the best Rugby League Team in the USA. The event will take place on the Soccer Fields at UNF, that are adjacent to Hodges Stadium.
In addition to the National Championship, there will also be a North vs. South ALL STAR Game, that will see the best players from the remaining teams in each conference face each other for selection onto TEAM USA for the Rugby League. The National Team for Rugby League in the USA, the HAWKS, have started their selection process for upcoming games against Canada in September and October, and then the Rugby League World Cup Qualifiers, that will be staged in Florida during December of this year.
In a boost for the event, Moe’s Southwest Grill has become the official event partner and will provide a number of prizes, giveaways, and food for the VIP Tent section during the game. Fans will also be given a coupon to Moe’s for a later visit as part of attending the event. (VIP Tent Tickets must be pre-purchased by 6:00pm on Wednesday)
