Axemen To Host USA National Championship

The Jacksonville Axemen have had quite a season so far in 2025. The team, entering it’s 20th season, started off unsure with a small squad turning up at training camp and a majority of new players. Things turned around the team showed growth throughout the past 2 months, with the Axemen defeating the Tampa Mayhem in the South Championship and earning a spot at the USA National Title.

This year, the South is set to host the Championship against the North Champions from the RLU. This means the Jacksonville Axemen will host the Brooklyn Kings at the University of North Florida on Saturday August 9th.

The Axemen and Kings have faced off in the National Championship 2 previous times, with the Axemen winning in 2018 and the Kings in 2019. This will surely be another close match between two dominant teams in their conferences.

The teams will kick off at 7pm on Saturday August 9th. Tickets start at $10 and kids 12 and under get in free. There will be full concessions, beer sales and merchandise available to purchase. The game will also be streamed live on the Jacksonville Axemen YouTube channel.
